No athlete's path looks the same. Sunrise Endurance got its name for the runner whose day starts before the sun comes up and ends long after. Striking a balance between sport, work, community, and all around life can be challenging. You are adaptable and so is your training!
I believe in making the most of your strengths, while recognizing, honoring, and building from weaknesses. Disappointment = more room for improvement after all.
As an athlete who has personally struggled with osteopenia, anemia, and chronic injury cycles, I am deeply attuned to health and sustainable training.
More important than any single performance or metric is a well-rounded relationship with sport, mind, body, and community.
I have six years of experience coaching and mentoring high school and collegiate athletes, and am constantly researching and improving my knowledge of the science behind training methods, injury prevention, and strength building.
Running is a major part of our lives, but it is not our whole lives. I believe in approaching every day with a blend of resilience, ambition, passion, enthusiasm, and more often than not a healthy dose of humor.
I'm a firm believer in the relentless pursuit of goals (so much so that I got the word relentless tattooed on my body). Seeing the value in every experience, especially the not-so-flashy, frustrating, and downright dreadful parts of endurance sport is what it's all about.
Opportunity > Obligation always.
