About Me!

Howdy! My name is Sarah and I am currently a professional trail and road athlete for Topo Athletic and Sidas USA. I thrive on being a crossover athlete, with goals spanning disciplines between trails, road, and track. I am a firm believer in silver linings. Not much in life goes according to plan, but I've found that oftentimes that's the best part.

When I'm not training or racing, I work two jobs, foster cats through a local shelter, read copious library books, and engage in what I lovingly refer to as my "grandma hobbies" (baking, gardening, sewing, crochet, and HGTV). I also earned my MS in Forestry in 2024 and I recently published my first article in Fire Ecology Journal!

My background

I began competing in 2006 on both road and trail and have been at it ever since! My life has been shaped by endurance sports, from track to trails, and even seven years of being a competitive swimmer and triathlete. I've experienced the mental highs and lows that many long term athletes experience, especially women in sport, and I am a major advocate for a healthy relationship between mind, body, and sport.

I was an NCAA athlete for seven years at both the University of Washington and Colorado State University. At CSU I had the opportunity to compete in six NCAA Championships, where I earned 2x NCAA All-American (Second Team) honors with a 9th place finish in the 2023 Indoor Championships 5,000m and 16th place in the 2024 Outdoor Championships 10,000m. I am also a 6x Mountain West Conference Champion across 5 events and hold PR's of 15:41* for 5k and 32:58 for 10k

These days I'm more trail focused, where I compete in both sub ultra and ultra distances, with some road mixed in. In 2025 I earned two Golden Trail World Series Top 10 finishes, 1st place at Pikes Peak Ascent, 3rd place at Chuckanut 50k, a top 15 finish at OCC, and a road half marathon PR of 1:13:11.
